I am happy to share that on July 10th, StackPath was honored at LaunchDFW’s inaugural “Walk the Walk” luncheon celebrating women in technology.
There are a lot of women working here at StackPath, many in leadership roles. In fact, almost a quarter of the StackPack are women with half of those in management roles, including at the C level. It’s a remarkable stat for a startup or tech company, not to mention a tech startup!
While not all of the women could attend the event, much less sit on the panel at the luncheon, four of us were chosen to represent the company: Carista Ragan Hill (our CLO), Sherri Russell (our CFO), Pooja Trivedi (our Senior Principal Technical Engineer, aka our top developer), and I (VP of Corporate Communications). We were joined by 80 guests in the beautiful ballroom in the Stoneleigh Hotel in downtown Dallas for a discussion that included what it means to be women working in roles traditionally held by males, mentoring women in the industry, things we would tell our younger selves, and surprising things about working for a startup.
Through the entire, engaged conversation one thing became clear – StackPath is a great place to work and really is “walking the walk” where women in leadership is concerned.
I’d personally like to offer a huge thanks to Clarisa Lindenmeyer, Jasmin Brand, and the whole LaunchDFW team for this recognition and putting together the event, to the Naveen Jindal School of Management for supporting this amazing program, and to everyone who attended and shared their thoughts (and a glass of champagne) with us.
May we continue to support one another and increase diversity in technology.
